In order to live life as art, Jinx Davis has
been a pineapple picker, a Vice-President of a CPA firm, a children's
librarian, Kindergarten teacher, storyteller, social worker, television and
radio script writer, restaurateur, construction worker, paralegal, social
advocate, website designer, retailer of world imports, marketing specialist, and entrepreneur.
From 1992 to 1998 Jinx Davis operated The Mode Theatre. She founded
the Living Arts Corporation, a non-profit educational arts organization
dedicated to breaking social barriers between classes, ages, ethnic groups,
rural and urban sensibilities and ideologies by orchestrating intimate and
interactive multi-disciplinary artistic experiences.
She has produced over 40 original theatrical
productions, performed in 65 main stage productions at various
universities and theater companies and performed in over 100 industrial
films, videos, public service announcements and performance art videos.
She has conducted workshops or performances in over 500 schools and
organizations.
